![]() ![]() There is some software called DSS.EXE at that you can use to independently verify if your DKU-5 connection is working, simply by checking if you can (a) see DKU-5 as a valid type of connection and (b) ‘Read Info’ from the phone. I finally used a cable from that cost £6.50p. I found that several supposed DKU-5 cables didn’t work either. ![]() This is required by Dejan’s software, and is why straight USB to USB cables (CA-53 etc.) will NOT work. This emulates a COM port, so that software on your PC can write to a Virtual COM port and the phone sees serial Nokia ‘FBUS’ signals. The USB plug is longer than normal as it contains a USB to Serial convertor. This is a cable which has a USB connector at one end and a Nokia Pop-Port connector at the other. I have had real problems trying to use Dejan's software, and having learnt a lot wanted to share my experience in the hope that it may help others avoid the mistakes I made:ġ.
